Years 7-12 Parent Teacher Student Interviews

On Monday 25 June (4.00pm onwards) PTO will be open for parents to check if a Teacher has requested an interview. This will be open until Friday 29 June.

Years 10-12

From Friday 29 June (4.00pm onwards) parents who did not receive an interview request will be able to access PTO to make an appointment. PTO will close on Thursday 5 July.

Years 7-9

From Thursday 5 July (4.00pm onwards) parents who did not receive an interview request will be able to access PTO to make an appointment. PTO will close on Thursday 12 July.

Performing Arts Festival for Catholic Schools & Colleges

Performing Arts Festival for Catholic Schools & Colleges in Western Australia was established to help the students of Catholic schools and colleges experience the spirit and tradition of the performing arts.

The Festival seeks to provide students with specific ‘performance platforms’ where they have the unique opportunity to give of their very best and perform to a public audience. Open to both primary and secondary school students, the performance categories encompass choral, drama, musical, instrumental, vocal and dance aspects of the performing arts. Approximately 18,000 students enter the festival each year.

The Festival commences with a Mass (Friday 20 July) at Infant Jesus Parish, Morley and performances (daytime and evening) are held between Thursday 19 July and Thursday 30 August in various venues throughout the metropolitan area.

The Festival culminates with a Final Concert staged at the Perth Concert Hall (Monday 10 September).

The Angelico Exhibition for Catholic Students is a prestigious annual event on the Catholic school art calendar. The Angelico Exhibition is named after Blessed Fra Angelico, Patron before God of Artists. The Exhibition provides a broad public forum through which Catholic students throughout Western Australia are able to exhibit their dynamic artistic talents. In 2018, the Angelico Exhibition will take place at Forrest Centre, 221 St George’s Terrace, Perth.

Remar Gold Retreat

The Remar Gold Retreat will be held at Newman College on Friday 20 July, 2018.
The afternoon will help the Gold Rowers to consolidate all they have experienced during their three-year crossing and launch out into the deep by embracing their call as Young Marists, to be involved in community and mission organised by Marist Youth Ministry.

Newman Careers Expo

The Newman Careers Expo is taking place on Monday 23 July (Week 2 Term 3).

Years 11 and 12 students and families

3.15pm – 4.30pm
Students and their families will have the opportunity to speak to Universities and TAFE.

Year 10 students and families

5.00pm – 6.15pm
Students and their families will have the opportunity to speak to Universities and TAFE as well as obtain information about 2019 subjects on offer from the various learning areas.

6.15pm – 7.00pm
Parent Information session (for parents and students) explaining the subject selection process for Year 11, 2019. Attendance for Year 10 students and at least one parent is compulsory on this evening.

All events will take place in the Auditorium.

Year 10 Subject Selection and Parent Information Evening

The Year 10 Subject Selection and Parent Information Evening is taking place on Monday 23 July (Week 2 Term 3) in the Marist Auditorium.

From 5.00pm – 6.15pm, Year 10 students and their families will have the opportunity to speak to Universities and TAFE as well as obtain information about 2019 subjects on offer from the various learning areas at the College.

From 6.15pm – 7.00pm there will be a Parent Information Session for parents and Year 10 students explaining the subject selection process for Year 11 2019. Attendance for Year 10 students and at least one parent is compulsory on this evening. A letter will be sent out before the end of Term 2 to all parents and guardians.
